Overcoming Obstacles

 April 4, 2018

As you and I go to the holy houses of God, as we remember the covenants we make within, we will be more able to bear every trial and to overcome each temptation. In this sacred sanctuary we will find peace; we will be renewed and fortified. -President Thomas S Monson
To be played after the group discussions

Youth are invited to do all they can to overcome the obstacles that keep them from entering the temple, and /or experiencing the fullness of God's blessings there.  Each stake will hold their own activity where youth work individually and together to overcome obstacles.  This may include an actual course, or smaller activities- whatever the stake feels best fits the needs of their youth. A document is attached with ideas for leaders as a resource. Following the activity, stake leaders hold an informal, large or various small group discussions where they talk about obstacles that may keep us from experiencing the blessings of the temple.  For the Strength of Youth might be a great resource for these discussions.
